1st farewell party

Friday January 29, I celebrated my first farewell party with friends. As my departure came so sudden, I decided to organize three different get togethers; one in a bar in downtown Amsterdam, one at the hotel lobby and one at Starbuck's at the airport.

Great turn up for the 1st farewall party! Thanks you all. I had a very nice time. Thanks also for the presents. I got a travel journal and a  group picture; can't leave without a polaroid picture. When I wanted to treat my guests to a shot of blue curacao, the bartender (cute!) said he didn't have any?! How about that...

last day at work

Thursday January 28, was my last day at work. I finished most tasks the day before, so I could spend most of the day talking to my colleagues. I bought a whole lot of cookies and displayed them on the table in my room. My colleagues came by one at a time so we could have a nice talk and say our goodbyes. I was spoiled with chocolate, magazines and Dutch treats; stroopwafels, liqourice and a beautiful bouquet of tulips. At the end of the day we went to the bar and had a few drinks. It was a very nice last day at work!

...less than 3 weeks

In about three weeks, I´ll be relocating to the Caribbean island Curacao! To be exact on February 8, 2010 at 9.35 AM...just in case you´d like to see me off at Schiphol Airport. You can follow my experiences here.
